Types of Membership

Registered Membership
Registered membership (four categories) is available to any holder of a NZOIA qualification, who is involved in outdoor instruction, and is interested in promoting the objectives of the Association.

Associate Membership
Associate membership is open to any individual (who does not hold a NZOIA qualification), or organisation interested in the aims of NZOIA and the activities in which NZOIA is involved.

Newsletter Membership - NZOIA Quarterly 
~ $20 per year, to receive copies of the NZOIA Quarterly.

The membership year runs from 1st July to 30th June of the following year.  The subscription shown below is for the full membership year. The subscription reduces on a quarterly basis as the membership year progresses.  The subscription shown in the payment section of the 'online' membership application is for the period from the date of application to 30th June next.  (Please note - new online membership applications by between 1st April and 30th June, are charged at the full year amount, and the membership runs until 30th June of the following year).

Membership Benefits

* Membership Fee shown above is for the full membership year for a "Full" member. There are four membership categories, being:  Full Member - $100, Full Student member - $50, Leader member - $50, Leader Student member - $25.  For "new" members, the fees reduce on a quarterly basis as the membership year progresses.

** Qualification Registration
~ $40 per Qualification that a member wishes to maintain as current, up to a maximum of $120.

Membership Cards
All registered members are issued with an annual membership card showing the NZOIA Qualifications that they hold. These cards are useful in obtaining discounts at Bivouac Stores.

Associate members are issued with annual membership cards noted as "Associate".
