Climbing Wall

     

    Climbing Wall qualifications are run under the Free Range Assessment model. You or your employer will arrange an NZOIA Assessor to run a Free Range Assessment.

    Climbing Walls can join NZOIA as an Affilated Member to receive discounted Free Range Assessment fees if they have three or more staff. If less than three staff, each person can join as a Registered Member.

    Climbing Wall Supervisor

    The NZOIA Climbing Wall Supervisor is able to supervise basic climbing activity on artificial climbing structures (inside or outside, fixed or mobile).
    Equivalent to a one-day assessment.

    The NZOIA Climbing Wall Supervisor with the Monitor Lead Endorsement is able to monitor lead climbing on artificial climbing structures (inside or outside, fixed or mobile).

    On a NZOIA assessment there are a wide range of skills and knowledge that you will be tested on. Your Assessor will endeavour to ensure all areas in the syllabus are assessed.
